After Avengers: Age of Ultron, it looks like Joss Whedon is done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What's next for the director is completely up in the air but after having massive success in the current state of super hero affairs, the sky is the limit for the former Buffy creator. During an interview with IGN, the Avengers director says one of the things he would love to do is work on a Batman film.

"Sure. I'd be like 'I have all these joke ideas.' And they'd be like 'No, we don't do that here.' I desperately wanted to do a Batman film - who doesn't," Whedon said. "And I wanted to do Wonder Woman. I was a Marvel kid growing up, but I was always DC-curious. And I see myself on the spectrum in between."

A DC flick isn't uncharted territory for the director as he had a quick foray with developing a Wonder Woman movie. Back in 2005, Whedon was working on the Amazonian super heroin film and the project went as far as having a complete script. In the end, the studio turned it down. It wasn't a happy ending, but we all know what happened next for Whedon.

Now that a Wonder Woman movie is finally coming into fruition, Whedon doesn't have any sour grapes about it. He has high hopes for the director of the 2017 Wonder Woman movie, Patty Jenkins. Despite working hard on the project, he still is excited for the finished product.

"I worked really hard on that movie and it meant a lot, but I don't know if what I was trying to do would fit in with what their vision is," Whedon says. "I'm excited to see it so I just want them to make it so I can see it!"

How do you think Whedon would fair in a DC movie?
