Nelly Revisits Sick Grandmother Verna Haynes & Arrest in New 'Nellyville' Premiering Tuesday

After learning that rapper Nelly lost his grandmother, Mrs. Verna Haynes earlier this year, MStars News has discovered that her final days would be added to the all-new episodes of Nellyville. That's right! Nelly, along with his girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, a.k.a. Miss Jackson, and his kids are all back for another season on BET. Premering Tuesday, May 5 at 9 pm fans of the show will be shocked with all new surprises.

In Tuesday's episode, Nelly will spend time with his grandmother before she passes away, as he plans a fun family ski trip for his kids and girlfriend to cheer them up. This time around, Nelly's own father will be included!

Last time the hit docu-series rang in 1 Million total viewers in its initial airing in November, and is now hoping to bring those same numbers. The new episodes will cover Nelly's recent arrest as he opens up to his kids about his situation. MStars News previously reported that the rapper and others were arrested on his tour bus when police discovered drugs and guns.

Nelly spoke out about the arrest and said: "Although I am unable to speak to the legal specifics and my attorney has put out a preliminary statement, I feel the need to take responsibility for my choices in needing to be more aware of the people I associate with and allow onto my property while committing to make better choices moving forward. While my instinct of course, is to be accessible to my friends, fans and acquaintances, the last thing I would want to do is compromise the respect and admiration of my friends, family and fans."

In the new season, fans will also get a glimpse into Nelly's very busy life as a hip-hop icon, and a father as he tries to keep his biological children, Nana and Tre and his deceased sister's children, Lil Shawn and Stink on the right path. 

Nelly's ongoing relationship with Miss Jackson will also be the highlight this time around. MStars News hopes the couple will become engaged soon after talking about it over and over again!

As for the kids, Nana is still in college in Chicago, Tre is still working on his health to get back on the football field, and Stink is still making big decisions about life after high school and the fashion world, as her brother, Lil Shawn continues to pursue his own music career.
