Fetty Wap’s Mother Slams Lost Eye Rumors: "He Was Born with Glaucoma"

Fetty Wap is indeed a different type of rapper, but it's not for his lyrics, but rather because of his missing eye. The rapper probably gets asked a million times a week how he lost his eye, while rumors seem to suggest that Wap's eye was shot out. Now his mother has decided to slam those reports and tell everyone what really happened to her son's eye.

In the TMZ video below, the cameraman says: "I'm sure you get asked about the eye all the time. I don't know if you're tired of talking about it or not. But for the ones of us who don't know quickly tell me what happened."

As Mr. "Trap Queen" begins to explain the loss of his eye, he pulls in his mother who just simply spills it out. "I had Glaucoma when I was little," the 24-year-old rapper said. "Matter of fact, my mother is here actually."

"This is the right answer," Wap says while asking his mother how old he was when he lost his eye. She replies: "You were born with Glaucoma, and lost your eye at 6 months old," she tells her son, who also learned a new detail.

Wap added that he had reconstructive surgery when he was a teen, and stopped wearing his prosthetic eye because be he didn't want to look like everybody else.

"That's the truth. I didn't get shot or hit with a firecracker," Wap pointed to the camera. The rapper claims that the craziest story he heard was "somebody said that I got shot in my face with a shotgun. I heard worse stories, but the craziest thing about that is (as he points to the side of his face)," while the cameraman adds, "your face looks fine."

Just so everyone knows that his eye is gone, he did a close up with the camera. "This is my real eye. I don't hide who I am, this is who I am. I'm blessed."

And there you have it folks! Good for Fetty. We're glad that's out the way.

Wap is indeed blessed. He's got a great hit and is also collaborating with Drake! In a new remix entitled, "My Way," both rappers sound good together.
