With Season 2 of The Strain already in production, FX has already released the official trailer and poster for the horror/vampire thriller. Based on Guillermo Del Toro's bestselling novels, published by Dark Horse Comics, are Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) "ready to hunt" after The Master?

The first season followed Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Maestro) as they discovered a deadly vampire plague spreading across New York City. During their search for a cure, an old and retired vampire hunter, Abraham Setrakian, (David Bradley) and a rat exterminator, Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand), join the crusade to defeat the ancient evil. They must all work together to save the world from The Master and his minions, including Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel).

As we previously mentioned, two short teaser promos were recently released. Both teasers featured an ordinary-looking person slowly transforming into a blooduscker.

According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Samantha Mathis (Broken Arrow) shows up in the footage as a city councilwoman, promising "We're going to take back this island one block at a time." Taking place after the first season finale, the group is on a tougher mission as Manhattan has become entirely overrun by vampires.

It's a race against time for the vampire hunters as the Master is getting ready himself to undergo another "wonderous transformation." What will the Master look like when he wakes up and rises from the dirt?
