Former NBA star Michael Jordan's love for comfortable cargo pants has gotten the Charlotte Bobcats owner banned from a posh golf course in Miami, Florida! According to reports, Jordan's trousers just weren't suave enough, so he was consequently kicked out from the swanky La Gorce Country Club. Maybe the 49-year-old Hanes spokesman should have read over the dress code before hitting the green!

Apparently the La Gorce Country Club requires golfers to wear a collared shirt and Bermuda shorts while playing the game - but MJ wasn't hearing it. Some other members actually complained because of Jordan's fashion faux pas. Sources insist that Jordan was actually given the opportunity to change his wardrobe and return to the green, but he decline the offer after being approached on the 12th hole. Hence, he was asked to leave the exclusive golf facility.

Following the news of MJ being "banned," he started trending on Twitter:

@maniXIVth: "Michael Jordan is banned for wearing cargo pants to golf club, News Headline next week "MJ purchases golf course, cancels several memberships."

@NickFlynt: "Michael Jordan used to be thought of as cool and sexy. Now he's getting banned from country clubs for wearing cargo pants. We were lied to."

‏@MichaelJordannw: "Some Other Outfits That Would Get Michael Jordan Banned From A Country Club - SportsGrid" (pretty hilarious).

‏@jayylee23: "michael jordan got banned from a golf club for wearing cargo shorts... how stupid. ooh he was supposed to wear Bermuda shorts.. so dumb."

@JGOLD8: "A big shout out to the golf course that banned Michael Jordan for wearing cargos."

After Jordan refused to change his slacks and was promptly denied his continued membership, one of his reps released this statement:

"Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants . . . He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code. This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point . . . he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it's their loss - as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest."
