Love was in the air for WNBA superstar Brittney Griner and her new wife, fellow basketball player Glory Johnson. MStars News has learned that that couple said "I Do" following their domestic violence dispute and arrest one month ago.

We previously reported that the two women were arrested after a heated argument at their Arizona home. A 911 call revealed the horrific sounds of the women fighting each other. Griner pleaded guilty to assault and disorderly conduct.

Following the arrest, Griner accepted a plea deal and is now in domestic violence counseling. After she completes the agreement all charges against her will be dismissed. In a statement, the WNBA star said:

"It is never OK for an argument to turn physical. This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously. I am committed to making positive changes and I plan to use what I have learned to set a good example and help make a difference in the world around me."

According to PEOPLE, Griner, and Johnson tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony Friday afternoon at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Phoenix resort with around 75 people as their witnesses.

Following their beautiful weekend wedding, Griner took to Instagram and wrote:

"I don't care if the world was ending at this moment! Nothing could [have] kept me from my wife. I think I cried the whole day until I saw her walking down that isle. Then in [an] instant I was calm and full of love and all the tears turned into huge smiles and a joy that no one can explain unless you have found and married your soulmate. I love you so much my beautiful Wife."

Despite trying to live happyly ever after, some folks have compared the newlyweds relationship to Ray Rice and Janay Palmer.

roseism "@baller5010 it doesn't matter who pushed first! It doesn't make it right. If they are in counseling I hope they work their sh*t out. But it's ironic how when Ray Rice abuses his spouse, the media blows up. But then these two get married and everyone is quick to forget what happened a month ago. Abuse of any gender is never ok and should never be brushed to the side."

djleo_91 I"'m so tired of ppl tryna compare them to Ray rice a total of three scratches between the both of them will never get the same amount of attention as someone getting knocked out an dragged off an elevator. If they was really tryna hurt each other I'm sure there would be more damage and second it's over it was petty obviously let it go there married an happy what ever other issues is there business so mind your own,you should have nothing to say other then congratulations @roseism"

The couple was previously on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress before tying the knot. Click here to watch.
