According to rapper OG Maco, fellow emcee Jay-Z can NOT snag the renowned "King of Hip-Hop" title. Neither can "Rap God" Eminem, although Maco does deem the Detroit native "the original anarchist rapper." Maybe Shady SHOULD give rock 'n' roll a try to spice the industry up a bit?

In a recent interview with VladTV, Maco explains:

"I feel like you can't really have a king of Hip Hop... [Jay's] been flexing for years, the more he grows, the more he flex. You don't start seeing social struggle Jay until 'Ye."

Do MstarsNews readers actually agree? As for the MMLP2 superstar:

"He was pushing the boundaries because he knew he himself was a boundary being pushed... I just feel there are other rappers who people enjoy more."

However, he doesn't provide any names.

Interesting that the "U Guessed It" emcee is then questioned about genre "blending." Rumors currently suggest that Shady might drop his rapping career in order to focus on a new passion - starting a heavy rock metal band!

Maco shares these thoughts:

"We just want to be the realest n*gga... That's it. If it ain't that we ain't trying to do more. But that don't get you a Grammy...it also doesn't get you a fulfilled life because you're only listening to one viewpoint."

But Eminem does have a Grammy - well, a total of 13, actually.

Do fans LIKE the idea of the "8 Mile" star supporting a new rock project deemed Detroit Riot, or should he stick to what he knows (and does) best?

Sound off in the comments section below, and watch Maco's full interview here!

But when it comes down to it, which emcee is the clear "King of Hip-Hop" - Eminem or Jay-Z?
