From Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland), the season finale of DIG aired on USA Network. If there are plans underway for Season 2 of DIG, will FBI agent Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) and Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche) find themselves involved in another globe-trotting case?

In our previous recap, Pastor Tad Billingham (David Costabile) almost had a close encounter with Peter and Golan as they slowly put together his grand scheme. Though she figured out who was the mole, Lynn ended up being taken hostage. Just when Golan discovered the master plan, he was run over and stabbed in the neck by none other than Emma, who has been playing him and Peter all along.

In our finale recap, it was a race against time as Peter discovered the ticking-time bombs underneath the dam. While Peter rushed to steer the water to a different location, Lynn escaped from her captors and went after Ambassador Ruth Ridell (Regina Taylor). While Fay (Angela Bettis) poisoned Tad, Avram (Guy Selnik) ruined Rabbi Lev's plan and rescued the scared calf.

In the closing minutes, after Armageddon was averted, Peter had one last thing to do; arrest Golan's killer. Emma Wilson was actually Rebecca Donaldson, who was seeking revenge for her father's murder. Pushing his feelings for her aside, Peter walked away as Rebecca was placed into custody.

In an interview with Variety, Isaacs reveals if he would reprise his role, "Most of the actors I liked enormously wouldn't be coming back anyway because they'd be dead... but apart from my own sentimental reasons for wanting to do it again, the only reason to do it again would be if someone came up with a magnificent story, and it does lend itself to basically anything, because the FBI could be posted anywhere. But it'll be fine not to do it; I won't feel like we didn't get to finish, I won't feel like I didn't get to fully play the character. Peter goes on a real journey and he came from a real place and I think he will be - which is the thing you're always looking for as an actor - a slightly different person than he was when we found him."

In an interview with Gold Derby, Heche described Lynn's relationship with Peter, "When I first met with Gideon and Tim...they really wanted to talk about this relationship as a kind of non-romantic relationship, but a relationship that was rooted in friendship. And perhaps, could we have an adult relationship that was convenient for both of them sexually, but not necessarily romantically? And I think everyone kind of wanted to try to pull that off."
