'LEGO Dimensions' Features Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who, Homer Simpson, & Scooby-Doo Packs!

An exciting list of add-on packs have been announced for LEGO Dimensions. Making their way onto the upcoming videogame, gamers will get a chance to play as the twelfth Doctor Who (Peter Capaldi), Homer Simpson and Scooby-Doo, as they all get the special LEGO treatment.

According to the plot synopsis, a mysterious and powerful vortex has suddenly appeared in various LEGO worlds. Different characters from the DC Comics Universe, the Lord of the Rings franchise, and The LEGO Movie are being swept away. To save their friends from trouble, Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle team-up to jump into the vortex and fight to save all of LEGO humanity.

As PlayStation Lifestyle states, there will be a number of different universes, including the universe of Scooby-Doo, Portal, The Simpsons, Jurassic World. All of these universes will all be placed within the upcoming game via add-on packs. The add-ons were listed on the official Walmart website, but have since been removed.

LEGO has released official images of the expansions, which confirms that the twelfth Doctor Who will be part of the upcoming game.

As Forbes mentions, in the Doctor Who level pack, A LEGO minifigure has been made to look like Capaldi as he holding the iconic sonic screwdriver. K9 and the Tardis have also been made into LEGO models. Players will place the toys on the Lego Dimensions toy-pad USB peripheral, which will bring them into the game. You're supposed to put Tardis on the central vehicle slot.

LEGO Dimensions is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 27 on PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
