CBS has released all-new promos to their upcoming DC Comics superhero drama, Supergirl. In 6 minutes of exciting footage from the pilot, viewers will be introduced to Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who swoops in and around as Superman's cousin, along with Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) and Jimmy Olson (Mehcad Brooks).

As we previously mentioned, the CBS superhero drama will follow the comic book adventures of Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped before its destruction. While living on Earth, Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at the tender age of 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be

We mentioned before, Jimmy Olsen (Brooks) is a photographer at CatCo.,where Kara works. Jimmy has recently been living and working in National City, though the reason why is still a secret. What will be kept from the comics is Jimmy's romantic relationship with Supergirl.

In the pilot, Jimmy and Supergirl will end up working together to take down the Wonder Woman baddie, Lumberjack, who's under orders from the main big bad.
