The season finale of The Flash arrives on the CW network. In episode 23, as Harrison Wells' (Tom Cavanagh) evil masterplan is revealed, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) time-travel to the past stop The Reverse-Flash from killing his mother in "Fast Enough?"

Barry meets Harrison Wells in his prison cell, and asks him, "Why did you kill my mother?" In the future, they are enemies, reverses of each other. His plan is to kill him as a child but the scarlet speedster chased after him. Barry then saved his younger self out of the room.

Out of rage, the Reverse-Flash killed Barry's mother. Barry though can go back and save his mother.  Martin Stein (Victor Garber) explains the risk of undoing his mother's murder. It will change 15 years of a timeline filled with choices and relationships. If Barry saves his mother, there's no way of knowing what his life will become.

Joe (Jesse L. Martin) wants him to go back and save his mother; it's his only choice. After saving others, it's time for Barry to finally save his own life. Barry meets his father, Henry (John Wesley Shipp), who is opposed to the idea. Henry explains they are a family; things happen for a reason. Henry is worried Barry will change and lose what makes him special.

Because he can control his powers, Ronnie (Robbie Amell) is back for good with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Iris (Candice Patton) meets with Barry on a rooftop, reveals she knows they will become married in the future. Iris tells Barry to do what's in his heart.

Barry meets with Harrison again in his prison cell. When the particle accelerator turns back on, Barry has to run fast enough to punch a hole in the fabric of time and create a wormhole. If he's not fast enough, Barry will instead die.

Martin analyzes the date, which seems to be true. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) doesn't know why Barry would do this. Cisco and Wells argue with each other because he reveals his death. Wells apologizes that Cisco can remember other alternate universes. The particle accelerator explosion also affected him as well.

Martin tries to pick up Eddie (Rick Cosnett), explaining his relevance in the timeline. Eddie is an anomaly, a wild card who gets to choose his own future. Martin discovers Wells was holding back crucial information. If Barry reaches the right speed, he could create a black hole and destroy the world.

Wells explains Barry has two minutes to save his mother in the past and run back to the present. If he's late, they all die. Joe is scared but he knows Barry is fast enough. Eddie meets with Iris, retells the story of how they first met. The two kiss, screwing the future.

Martin holds the wedding ceremony for Caitlin and Ronnie. Cisco explains to Barry his younger self has to be out of the room before he can do anything. After saying his goodbyes, The Flash makes a run for it.

In the past, his future self tells Barry not to get involved. After his mother is stabbed, Barry walks into the room. Barry takes off his mask and reveals he is her son. He used his second chance to tell his mother he loves her. His mother says goodbye before dying.

Wells gets inside the time machine and is about to go home, until The Flash stops him. While they fight, Caitlin shuts off the generator. Eddie shoots himself to stop Reverse-Flash, erasing him from existence.

Another wormhole opens up, swallowing up Eddie and the rest of the world. The Flash races at full speed and enters the wormhole.
