'Ray Donovan' Season 3 Spoilers: Is Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise's Ex, Liev Schreiber's "Lover?"

Showtime has released a behind-the-scenes trailer for Season 3 of crime drama, Ray Donovan. Ahead of the show's official July premiere, actress Katie Holmes, the former Mrs. Tom Cruise, discusses her upcoming role, who may or may not be Ray (Liev Schreiber)'s newest lover.

As we previously mentioned, Ray Donovan follows the title character, who is a go-to fixer for Hollywood's elite. With a lucrative business ahead of him, his past as a ruthless South Boston thug comes back to haunt him. Ray's father Mickey (Jon Voight), has come back to settle old scores, which could spell trouble for him and his innocent family.

We also mentioned, the Thank You For Smoking actress joins recurring guest star Ian McShane for the upcoming third season of Ray Donovan. Viewers will meet Malcolm Finney (McShane), a prominent movie producer in the industry. The billionaire hires Ray (Schreiber) to get his family, which includes Paige (Holmes) Finney, out of a potentially catastrophic situation. Aaron Stanton (Mad Men) has been cast as Mr. Donellen, a strict but kind high school teacher with a tragedy in his past.

Guy Burnet, Fairuza Balk, Skyler Shaye and Shree Crooks have also joined the season 3 cast.

Released online from the official Ray Donovan Youtube channel, the Dawson's Creek actress discusses her tough-as-nails role as Paige Finney. In the new footage, Paige isn't really happy to see Ray when he steps into her life, questioning her father, stating "Who is this guy?" The two get entangled in affairs, which makes Paige force to tell herself that she didn't break the law.

Holmes teases, "Paige is a complicated businesswoman struggling to fin her own power within her family. The Finney family is a very powerful family; they serve a symbol for big money, big business."
