The Notorious B.I.G. was brutally murdered on the streets of L.A. back in 1997 - 15 years after his death, a recently released autopsy report provides graphic details surrounding the tragic shooting which took the life of the infamous East Coast rapper. According to the report, 24-year-old Christopher George Latore Wallace (Biggie Smalls) was shot a total of four times while sitting at a red light in his Chevy Suburban in Los Angeles on the night of March 9, 1997. Read on for more details.

According to the detailed autopsy report obtained by TMZ, Biggie Smalls (listed as a "morbidly obese" man standing at 6'1" and weighing in at 395 lb.) was struck a total of 4 times in a drive-by shooting on Wilshire Blvd in L.A. The bullet breakdown went like this:

- Gunshot #1: Struck Wallace in the left forearm and traveled down to his wrist.

- Gunshot #2: Struck Wallace in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder.

- Gunshot #3: Struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh.  After exiting the thigh, "the projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration."

- Gunshot #4, fatal:  Struck Wallace in the right hip and ripped its way through several vital organs before settling in the left shoulder area. The bullet punctured Wallace's colon, liver, heart, and the upper lobe of his left lung.

According to the autopsy report, all four gunshots traveled through Biggie's Suburban passenger door before striking him in the body. Two of the bullets were found on the gurney that transported him to the hospital. Another was later obtained after the rapper's lifeless body was turned over by doctors after they failed to revive him.

Following the drive-by shooting, Wallace was promptly transported to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital where doctors performed an emergency thoracotomy - he was eventually pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m. A toxicology test later revealed that the "Ready to Die" star had no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death. His body was later identified by his mother and sister.

Nortorious B.I.G.'s murder still remains unsolved today, although several different conspiracy theories have cropped up over the years (many involving Biggie's involvement with the infamous East Coast/West Coast hip-hop feud prevalent at the time).
