Singer K. Michelle and Safaree Samuels were recently spotted out together and Nicki Minaj may have some choice words for her former boyfriend of 12 years.

The "It Is What It Is" rapper made it clear that he loves the former Love and Hip Hop star's curvy figure and claims to have an amicable relationship with her, however, fans are wondering if he's slowly making his move on the celebrity or maybe they are already secretly dating.

The rapper talked to Power 106 FM host, Yesi Ortiz regarding the swirling rumors after K. Michelle posted a video of her dancing to his song "Burner," which he says helped him gain a platform.

"She put out a video dancing to my song and it brought another light to it. It was on TMZ- they were talking about it there- and people were like 'Yo, what's that song she's dancing to?' and it really helped me." He added, "Before that I didn't know her. I've never met her a day in my life before that."

May 27, Nicki seems to have tweeted a cryptic message which may have either been directed to her ex-boyfriend or to her current man, Meek Mill.

She retweeted Basketball Wives L.A. Draya Michele's Instagram post, "You'll never truly know how damaged a person is until you try to love them," which was allegedly aimed at her ex-boyfriend, Orlando Scandrick.

During Nicki's Power 105.1 interview she opened up about the recent break up and became emotional when explaining her transition without him in her life, "My relationship was based off of love," she said. "And there still is nothing but love there. This is not some person I picked up off the street. This is somebody I grew up with. Like I don't even know how I'm gonna function without that person in my life. I've never lived my life as a famous person without him."

Nicki explained that she still loves her ex-boyfriend and misses including him in her life decisions now, "I tell my girlfriends, my best friends, but sometimes I still wanna tell him stuff and get his opinion," she said before crying.

"I don't think people realize it's not just a relationship or breakup. That was a humongous part of my life," she told Angie. "It is something that I am dealing with publicly and it's not easy. I'm also not gonna joke about it or try to disrespect him and try to act like he didn't mean the world to me and still doesn't mean the world to me. I'm just figuring it out." She added, "If I wasn't a rapper, we would have children, be married, and be living happily ever after. And that's what we're both sad about because we know that this shit is what did it."
