Since this comment, the Pan actor has said he wants to play the Marvel Comic Books character for as long as he could, but then announced that Wolverine 2 (or 3, It's a bit confusing) would be his last time portraying to character. Back in March of 2015, Jackman was asked about possibly showing up in Deadpool as Wolverine. His reaction definitely got fans excited (via Gamma Squad).

"They [Wolverine and Deadpool] are definitely enemies in the comics, and they always spark off well together, so, I'd be open to that idea," the actor told MTV News at the time. You can check out this interview segment right here:

It would definitely make sense for this cameo to happen, but as Reynolds explained recently in a new interview with News Limited, it's up to scheduling now.

"God I hope so, that would be really nice," the actor responded when asked if Jackman would show up in the film (via UPROXX). "I don't know, we'll see. It seems like he's open to it, but it's going to be more of a scheduling issue than anything else."

So it seems like Reynolds is as excited about this idea as we are, but it's not exactly in his hands. With Jackman's recent announcement concerning leaving the character behind, do you think that cameos are still in the cars for the Wolverine we know and love?
