British songstress Adele gave birth to a baby son with boyfriend Simon Konecki back in October, but the "Skyfall" singer has remained very hush-hush on any details surrounding the birth and newborn (the little tot's name has yet to even be released). Maybe because Adele wants to keep her mommy-and-son life private is the reason the 24-year-old allegedly forgot to register the youngster's birth with U.K. authorities? Either way, the Grammy Award winner now faces a fine of up to £1,000 (approximately $1,600 U.S. dollars) for failing to do so. Looks like Adele might be "Rolling in the Deep" with some baby drama!
Authorities confirm that Adele has failed to contact registrars and file the necessary paperwork in regards to her newborn's birth within the required 42-day legal deadline. The popular songstress could now face a fine of £1,000 - probably not a hefty sum for the best-selling artists, but a fine nonetheless.
An inside source recently told the Sun -"Cops are hardly going to be banging on their door tomorrow and it's probably just an oversight on their part... Most parents register their baby within a couple of weeks because it's a nice thing to do - and because there's a maximum fine of £1,000 if they don't. There's loads of reasons why parents are late and millions of couples don't bother for ages."
Just so fans are aware, it's not like Adele will be promptly arrested and thrown into jail - the couple can probably expect a few warning letters in the upcoming weeks and if the boy's birth still hasn't been logged within three months the registrar becomes liable and then can be fined. Therefore Adele and her beau will most likely file the necessary paperwork and simply pay the fine upfront if need be.
Now that Adele must "officially" release some details on her baby son, do Mstarz readers think the youngster's name will hit social media and gossip airwaves anytime soon?
