Pop star Justin Bieber may believe that Floyd Mayweather, Jr is the best fighter in the world, but many fans think that the 18-year-old's Instagram photos mocking Manny Pacquiao's recent knockout to Juan Manuel Marquez are just plain offensive and in bad taste. Two pics the Biebs posted on Monday (Dec. 10) have left some Instagram users bitter and enraged - one cropped photo features a young Simba from Disney's the "Lion King" pawing on Pacquiao's bottom, as he lies unconscious after being knocked out by Marquez in the sixth round of the duo's fourth fight held in Las Vegas on Saturday (Dec. 9). Another altered image has Pacquiao doing the infamous Michael Jackson "lean" before hitting the ring floor alongside the King of Pop himself. Read on for more details, and decide for yourself if the photos are indeed offensive.

Following his sixth round knockout loss to Marquez, Pacquiao was taken to University Medical Center as a precaution. And this is how Bieber responded to Pacquiao's fourth fight loss on Instagram:

"Dad Wake Up."

"Pacquiao doing the lean with MJ... Classic moment."

The Instagram photos soon went viral, with a very negative response from thousands of fellow social networking users:

Nerdyhipsta9818: "Wow Justin. Can't believe you said that. You just lost all my respect. Hope you're happy."

Danadalson: "Well, Pacquiao's our [Filipino] national hero. With all due respect to Justin, he's a big star, which makes his every move a big deal. This is just really wrong."

Audreypicart: "Yeah, it may be a joke but to some people its not. Pacquiao blacked out. I'm sure if JB passed out and someone made fun of him like this you Beliebers would get mad. It's the same for other people. Just saying. This is mad disrespectful."

While many were extremely offended by the "Boyfriend" singer's cropped images, many other fans thought they were quite funny and that people shouldn't take such things so seriously.

Hausof_chey: "it's his opinion though and his account, getting a bit too worked up. if you really didn't like it, just keep on scrolling."

Xodarlinee: "Omg. It's a dam joke! Relaaaax LOL It's never that serious. It's just his opinion stop giving him bulls##t about it!"

The Michael Jackson-themed pic has garnered over 217,000 likes - the Simba pic, over 244,000.

The Biebs also posted this pic, flaunting his apparent Floyd Mayweather pride (who is considered one of the best, if not the best, boxing fighters in the world, with Pacquiao coming in at a close second):

"Look what Mayweather did to Marquez... #moneyteam #nocompetition."

Following Pacquiao's knock out, Bieber said on Sunday (according to a report by the Examiner):

"[Mayweather] has nothing to gain fighting Pacqiao. Floyd has never in his professional career lost a fight and Pacqiao lost his last two fights. If Floyd wins it's not that big of a deal because it would be his third loss in a row, and if he loses he's going to ruin his legacy either way there's no big win for Mayweather... Mayweather is boxing."

And the pop megastar apparently doesn't regret posting the "offensive" Instagram pics, announcing - "If they were beliebers I know they wouldn't leave my side over a boxing opinion I have."

So what do Mstarz readers think? On a lighter note, here's a rather entertaining altered pic brought to you by the wise guys over at TMZ (and catch a full video and play-by-play recap of Sunday's Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight here).
