One Direction Shoot 3D Movie in New York City, Fans to 'See their In-depth Side'

The English-Irish boy band "One Direction" has made full use of their visit to the U.S. The band performed at Madison Square Garden with the show being sold out, as more number of Americans are getting hooked to the boy band's music. The band also performed with the music's elite at the at Z100's annual Jingle Ball concert. Harry Styles, band member even found a new romance with pop star Taylor Swift, MTV News reported.

The guys are now filming scenes for their upcoming 3D movie.

The band had a close brush with the law as they were questioned by New York Police Department officers while Louis Tomlinson, a bandmember was spotted shooting from their SUV's sunroof, Dec. 5.

"It's been good, we've had cameras with us for a while now," said Styles on filming, MTV News reported. "It's just going to be nice, obviously, for the fans to see a bit more in-depth side of us. And for us it's going to be nice to watch it back as well and see the stuff we've been doing when we're a bit older. So that's exciting."

The film is being directed by auteur Morgan Spurlock. It is expected to hit theatres August 2013. Spurlock and Simon Cowell will be the producers on the project.

Bandmate Tomilson and fellow bandmate Zayn Malik got tattoos while in New York. Malik got "MSG" inked on his arm following the concert at Madison Square Garden.

Styles reportedly tried to get inked while another bandmate Liam Payne was scared his mom might kill him if he got one.

The Huffington Post proclaimed 2012 "The Year of One Direction". The band has been described as igniting the resurgence of the boy band concept in the U.S.
