The Season 3 premiere of the popular reality show, Chrisley Knows Best, continues on USA Network. In Episode 2, Life's A Pitch, Todd and Julie Chrisley have to get themselves ready to coach Grayson's softball team but can they really deal with a team full of nine year olds?

Chase, Savannah, and their father start to play Jenga when Julie walks in with bad news. There's no one to coach baseball practice. Todd actually thinks he can coach Grayson's softball team, but he doesn't know anything about the sport. None of the kids, including Julie, think Todd  can pull it off.

While making her tomato sauce, Julie has hopes of making her own cookbook. Lea, Julie's best friend, shows up at the door. The last time she was there, Todd remembers Lea moved in. Lea wants Julie to cook for her parlor party. Chase thinks Lea should have the party at their house, which Todd doesn't approve of.

Julie needs Savannah's help with the party. Grayson jokes he's going to coach Todd instead. Todd shows up looking silly in his coach uniform. After meeting each member of the softball team and forgetting their names, Todd is given lessons about how to hit the ball.

Everyone starts to wonder when Todd is going to hit the ball after striking out one too many times. The kids start playing around, which forces Todd to blow his whistle. Grayson tells Todd he feels embarrassed; they didn't do a lot at practice. After such a disaster, Todd promises he's going to turn things around next time.

Chase and his friends show up at the kitchen and stuff themselves with the food Julie made for the parlor party. Because Julie now has to start from scratch, Chase has to help her out fix everything. Chase and Savannah go with Julie to Costco to get the ingredients. Chase is distracted as he wanders around the store, losing his mother and sister.

At second practice, the kids tells Todd they need a new coach. Todd brings C.J. Stuart to teach the kids how to play ball. Back at the house, Todd gets a yelling from his mother as he screws up folding napkins.

During practice, Todd is afraid to get dirty and slide across the ground. The kids then swarm on top of him. When the pizza delivery man shows up, all the kids change their minds and think Todd is the best coach ever.

Julie has the food all finally prepared. Lea starts giving out the appetizers and forces Chase to listen her singing. Todd and Grayson show up at the parlor party covered in dirt. Todd realizes the party is really a freakshow but Julie's food is great though.

Julie is surprised Todd was a success at practice. Grayson actually wants Todd to stay as his coach. Chase apologizes for eating his mother's food, but he's glad the party was a success for her.
