50 Shades of Grey Movie Casting News UPDATE: Felicity Jones on Playing Anastasia Steele, 'It Would be Very Exciting' [POLL]

Rumors have it that "Gossip Girl" heartthrob Chace Crawford may be in the running to snag the coveted role of Christian Grey in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' hit erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" - and now some reports claim that English actress Felicity Jones may be interested in pursuing the part of Grey's infamous love interest, Anastasia Steele! The stunning 29-year-old may be the perfect fit for Steele, considering she recently starred in a film focused on the female orgasm, "Hysteria." So what do "Fifty Shades" enthusiasts think - should Jones join the ranks among other fan favorites including Alexis Bledel, Emma Watson, and Lucy Hale?

Jones - best known for her role as the young school bully Ethel Hallow in the British ITV series "The Worst Witch" and its sequel "Weirdsister College" - also captured critics' attention with her amazing performance in the 2011 romantic drama, "Like Crazy." In that film, she starred as a young woman caught up in a heated romance with the attractive Jacob Helm (played by Anton Yelchin), so that gives her another advantage over the competition. Although Jones' name has yet to be associated with the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting rumors, the British starlet recently admitted to U.K.'s the Telegraph that she'd definitely be interested in the part of Anastasia Steele - "It would be very exciting. I read the book and thought it was an interesting read." Not only that, but Jones has made it clear that she'd be totally comfortable filming any nude scenes.

The one major problem would probably be Jones' age - she turned 29 back in October, while Steele is supposed to be a recent college grad at 22. Many recent "Fifty Shades" reports have brought up the dilemma of age... many fan favorites for both major roles - including Alexis Bledel, Matt Bomer, and Ian Somerhalder - are in fact much older than Steele and Grey. But Hollywood typically casts actors and actresses in various different roles despite age, so who knows if that will be a factor when "Fifty Shades" producers finally make their final casting decisions.
