At the NYC premiere of her highly-anticipated film "Les Miserables," actress Anne Hathaway gave anxious paparazzi quite a shocking view when she stepped out of her limo onto the Red Carpet, accidently exposing her underwear-less nether regions in a rather embarrassing wardrobe mishap (already deemed "Full Hathaway-Gate"). Following the Red Carpet flash on Monday (Dec. 10), 30-year-old Hathaway was overheard telling one of her reporter friends just how completely devastating it was for the cameras to basically capture "everything." The classy Hollywood starlet now joins the ranks among other infamous wardrobe malfunction victims including Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Jennifer Lopez... and Hathaway is apparently not too happy about it.

As Hathaway made her debut at Monday evening's NYC film premiere, flaunting a sexy Tom Ford black dress highlighted by a revealing thigh-high split, paparazzi took the opportunity to take some snap shots up under her skirt. Unfortunately Hathaway wasn't wearing any underwear, so the flashing bulbs managed to capture her fully-exposed lady parts.

According to reports, Hathaway was overheard telling Vanity Fair writer Ingrid Sischy at a luncheon on Tuesday following the embarrassing incident:

"I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn't realize it until I saw all the photographers' flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them."

But Hathaway isn't one to shy away from her humiliations. The actress recently appeared on an episode of the "Today Show" to explain the embarrassing wardrobe mishap to host Matt Lauer.

Lauer brings up the topic by stating, "Let's just get it out of the way. You had a little wardrobe malfunction the other night. What's the lesson learned from something like that, other than that you keep smiling, which you'll always do."

"It was obviously an unfortunate incident. It kind of made me sad on two accounts," Hathaway explains. "One was that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it."

Hathaway then managed to turn the conversation away from her privates, and on to the topic of "Les Miserables" (which hits theaters Christmas Day, Dec. 25):

"I'm sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to Les Mis, that's what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net."

Kudos to Hathaway for keeping her cool in an otherwise very humiliating situation. What do Mstarz readers think about the Red Carpet wardrobe mishap?
