The big news in the world of Dragon Ball is that the series will finally continue. This is the first time we've seen new episodes in the series since the mid-90's and the first addition to the story since Battle of the Gods in 2012. These are exciting times for fans and the one person who isn't all that thrilled is Dragon Ball's manga editor Kazuhiko Torishima. During an interview with Livedoor News, Torishima says it should've ended after the fight with Frieza.

"Yes... I wonder where's a good place to end it," Torishima said. "Of course, it should've been wrapped up with the Frieza Saga."

Torishima then went on to say that he was unhappy with the saga that followed Freiza's death. The fight in particular he's talking about was the one between Dr. Gero and Android 17 and 18.

"If you're going to have an old fart fight ladies, then it's best to call it a day," he said.

Torishima said if the series had ended right there then Toriyama would have went on to write another successful manga. According to him, if he was able to get huge success with Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball, then for sure he was set to have another one.

"This is just a 'what if,' but I think if Toriyama had ended it at the Frieza Saga, then he would've gone on to write a third hit manga," Torishima said.

For anybody excited about the new Dragon Ball they should be happy to know it's on the way. Toriyama says he has a few things to work on like small dialogue and a few pieces of art. The Dragon Ball creator thinks fans will be more than happy with the new story. Frieza is set to be the main villain in it.
