Tom Cruise will get to spend this Christmas with his daughter Suri, the actor confirmed this week as he took to the red carpet for the first time since his highly publicized divorce from Suri's mother, Katie Holmes.

Cruise was on the red carpet for his new movie, "Jack Reacher," when he told reporters how he planned to spend his time this holiday season. He confirmed that Suri would be him, but that rather than bringing her to London, where Cruise has been based for the second half of this year, he would be spending the time with her in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood actor also explained that he and Suri would be together with other members of his family, including his two older children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman; Connor, 17, and Bella, 20.

Suri also spent Thanksgiving with Cruise, which was the first time in three months that he had seen his six year old daughter. Now after another stint away from her, he will again get to spend some time with her over the Christmas holiday period.

Cruise told People magazine, "We have got lots of very special things planned. We are all going to be together. I am looking forward to it."

Cruise was wearing jeans and a dark suede blazer for the premiere in central London. He has been living in London since August for filming, but he will fly back to his $30 million Beverly Hills home in Los Angeles later this month.

Suri had flown to London to in be with her father for the Thanksgiving holidays, as he was filming
"All You Need Is Kill."

Meanwhile, ex-wife Holmes featured the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden last night, alongside a host of other stars. Performances were given by Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, and Kanye West among many others.

Others attending the event included: Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kristen Stewart, Chris Rock, Susan Sarandon, Adam Sandler, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jimmy Fallon, Steve Buscemi, Quentin Tarantino, Seth Meyers, and Season Combs.

Holmes is also currently on Broadway in "Dead Accounts," which is scheduled to run until Feb. 24.
