'Prison Break' Revival: Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell Return For 12 Episodes In Development!

Because nostalgia goes a long way with audiences, Fox is currently in development of the revival of their popular crime drama, Prison Break. Actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be back as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows make another escape in a limited run of 12 episodes.

According to TV Line, Fox is currently developing a limited-series revival of its drama series. Miller and Purcell reprise once more as their sibling characters. If the reunion project does happen, it would be be similar to 24: Live Another Day, which would span a dozen or so episodes.

Described as a "the perfect event series" by Fox co-chairman Gary Newman at the Television Critics Assoc. press tour, this would feature a closed-ended storyline. Details are sketchy and how the story would take place because Michael passed away in the series finale. Robert Knepper reprised his role as T-Bag in an episode of Breakout Kings.

As we previously mentioned, Purcell and Miller are currently part of The Rogues super villain team in The Flash. As Captain Cold (Miller) and Heat wave (Purcell), the two keep causing problems for the scarlet speedster, even uncovering his secret identity. Captain Cold managed to singlehandedly break out the meta-humans during their prison transport.

Twitter had lots to say about seeing the Prison Break actors reunite on The Flash. So there is an audience who cannot wait to this revival, much like The X-Files revival and 24 spinoff.

We also mentioned, Purcell and Miller are pretty busy with their CW shows. The two are rumored to return in The Flash season two and appear in Arrow season four. They will also be part of the DC Comics team in Legends of Tomorrow.
