Sandy Hook Shooting: Celebrities React On Gun Control Laws, Send Sentiments on Twitter

As news spread of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn. where Ryan Lanza reportedly shot and killed 29 people, 20 of whom were children, many people took to social media to express their sentiments and condolences, including celebrities.

The shooting, where Lanza reportedly shot the school principle, then shot and killed his mother, 18 of her students and at least seven other adults, is said to be among the worst in recent history. The tragic incident occurred several days after another gunman shot and killed two people in a Portland, Or. shopping mall before killing himself.

Both incidents has led many celebrities to comment on the gun control laws in America. "Gun control is no longer debatable- it's not a 'conversation'- It's a moral mandate," veteran actress Mia Farrow tweeted.

Sarah Silverman weighed in as well. "Band-Aids-on-Band-Aids @NRA people want MORE access to guns to combat all the people w access to guns," tweeeted the comedian.
