Despite several "hot-and-steamy" hook-ups, Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio were never an "official" Hollywood couple. Rumors now suggest that the the "Stay" songstress is dating (or at least flirting with) Real Madrid soccer babe, Karim Benzema. But is the 27-year-old pop sensation also secretly pregnant with DiCaprio's baby? No way!

And the 40-year-old "Titanic" heartthrob is tired of the constant tabloid drama.

Back in May, the seedy French magazine Oops! (falsely) reported that RiRi was pregnant with her first child. Of course, DiCaprio was allegedly the father.

According to Gossip Cop, court documents reveal that DiCaprio's legal team has requested to impose the maximum $20,000 (or 18,000 Euros) fine against the magazine for damages and fees.

The shocking cover issue hit newsstands on May 13, when "The Wolf Of Wall Street" actor was actually in France for the annual Cannes Film Festival. The ridiculous story claims that DiCaprio indeed impregnated Rihanna, but he wants nothing to do with the baby.

Simply not true - any of it.

The explosive headline reads:

"Rihanna Pregnant With Leonardo's Baby: He Doesn't Want The Baby."

But at the time, RiRi and DiCaprio were not even dating.

In a recent interview with Oops! part-owner Frederic Truskolaski, the lawsuit defendant admits that the mag knew such bogus "scoop" was untrue. Several members of the staff assumed from numerous gossip stories that "they were together," but Truskolaski reveals:

"We didn't know [if Rihanna was pregnant]... We thought she might be. We were not sure, of course."

And still, Truskolaski remains stunned after learning about the lawsuit on Thursday (June 4):

"Why is he doing this? [This may be] the first time an American superstar has sued a French magazine" (via Gossip Cop).

Well, maybe it's about time then?

The publication is also being sued under France's "strict right to privacy laws." The mag has no right to print anything about DiCaprio's personal life or share "private" paparazzi photos of the Grammy Award-winner. DiCaprio's team is demanding a public retraction on an upcoming cover edition, or else Oops! may face another 10,000 Euro fine (about $11,100).

Court proceedings begin June 16 (2015). Truskolaski doesn't believe that his side will win, but hopefully they won't have to pay the full fine:

"Usually you lose... [But] it won't be much."

Maybe Oops! even likes the extra publicity?

Stay tuned as more details become available.

Oh - and what about those rumors now involving RiRi and LeBron James? Poor Leo!
