It's been almost 19 years since legendary rapper Tupac Shakur died at the young age of 25. Now his former girlfriend, Jada Pinkett Smith has decided to speak out about the relationship she had with the late rapper. In a new interview on Howard Stern's Sirux XM radio show, Smith, who is now married with kids to famous actor Will Smith, said she learned a lesson following Tupac's death.

"I don't think I was guilty as much as I felt just sadness, for not having the opportunity to tell him that I loved him. But, I know he knew that," the mother-of two-said. "It wasn't the first time that we had had a bad argument and stopped speaking. That was a constant in our relationship."

Smith also revealed that she and 'Pac weren't speaking at the time of his death. She claims that she regrets not telling him that she loved him.

"It definitely taught me a lesson, which is life is too short," the actress said. "Do not let disagreements stand in between you and people that you love and care about."

Back in 2012, Jada's daughter, Willow wrote a letter to the deceased rapper that read:

Dear Tupac,

I know you are alive someplace. I think that my mommy misses you. Can you come back so mommy and me can be happy! I wish you were here ... I really do!

Love, Willow

Pinkett-Smith also admitted that she and Pac didn't have that fairytale relationship many thought they had.

"If Pac and I had any kind of sexual chemistry, we might have killed each other because we were both so passionate. And you know, we loved deeply. It was hard enough with us just being friends. We had a very volatile relationship," she said. "Now being older, I have more of an understanding of what that was between us. When you have two young people that have very strong feelings, but there is no physical chemistry between us at all. And it wasn't even just for me! It was him too. There was a time when I was like, 'Just kiss me! Let's just see how this goes.' And when I tell you it had to be the most disgusting kiss for us both."
