Singer Chris Brown gushes about being a father to 1-year-old Royalty and where his relationship with Karrueche Tran stands after their awkward run-in at a Los Angeles nightclub.

During an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the star reveals that he's grown a lot since becoming a father to his adorable toddler, "There comes a time when people kind of have to grow up and become more of an adult and take on different responsibilities," He explained, "I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter's life. Just to see a smile on her face - just to see the littlest things - is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now."

The singer also touched on his awkward and an intense run-in with his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche

June 5th, cameras were quick to catch the "Loyal" singer walking steps behind his heartbroken ex and later jumping into her car where their voices could be heard behind the paparazzi cameras clicks and spectators awkwardly watching with their jaw's dropped.

Recently, Kae told Big Boy's Neighborhood that she always tried to avoid a run-in with the star, "It's hard...I make it so we don't have to cross paths so it's not awkward but I do get on Instagram and there's people tagging us or I'll hear a song, you know, but I kind of just block it out," she explained, "Definitely keep it cordial and positive, no drama. I'm not about the drama."

When asked if they would be able to repair their broken relationship, the "Autumn Leaves" singer responded, "I'm going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time," he explained, "I can't promise anything and I can't jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I've done in the past. I feel like it's just a time thing. "I'm not a hateful person," he continues. "Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."
