Erica Campbell is back with a new beat in her Gospel music video. MStars News has learned that the former Mary Mary singer decided to add some hip-hop or what some people and gossip sites are calling, "Trap, Trill" flavor, in her new video, "I Luh God," but it appears that not everyone is feeling her new beat.

According to The Shade Room, some of Erica's fans are weighing in on the new sound.

#EricaCampbell dropped her new video for #ILuhGod ! Are we feelin' it? #TrapGospel

The infamous gossip site claims that the Gospel singer has some people who "luh" the song and some people who think it's a hot mess! Some of the social media comments have been brutal:

mermer1893 "Lmao wth is this a real video smh just sad!"

mwaripindirai "It's as ratchet as my profile picture. Da*n Kevin"

noah_da_governor "@harlem_bawse I like the song, I just don't like the term "Trap Gospel". That doesn't mix."

blessmybeautifulheart "What's funny to me is that Kirk Franklin tried to do the same thing with his music reach out to those who wouldn't normally listen to gospel music otherwise but he got bashed for that now erica is doing it and everyones praising her like it's never been done before..smh"

Some fans even reached out to Mrs. Campbell on her Facebook page and claimed that her new song was "like the world." Erica found herself, once again, defending her craft.

Renee Sereal Youngblood said, "I really love you Erica but this song is too much like the world!! We are supposed to be different, we are supposed to look different, our conversations should be different. I couldn't tell if I was looking at a gospel artist or a hip hop artist! I am certain you will make a lot of money off of this single but let me ask you a question... If Jesus walked on set of your video would he think that you were an ambassador for him? I love you my sister. Be blessed, stay prayed up and walk in the Word."

Erica clapped back, explaining that the only person who matters is Jesus -- which is who she is singing for: "Erica Campbell Jesus only hears me singing how much I Love him that's all that matters my heart is all he sees..."

Another person who supported Erica's unique new sound named Mildred Wheelington said: "Ignore the nah sayers this is a wonderful song. Glad you step out and did it. I for one don't like "TrapMusic" do to the content but you have taken what the enemy stole and give God Praise with it."

If everyone wants to debate on whether or not the song is "trap music" or "of the world," then it's a fair bet that there are some who will debate if God and Jesus is the same person based on Erica's line "I Luh God," followed by her responding to her critic with "Jesus is the one that hears me singing how much I love him."

No matter what debate people will get into over this topic, it appears that Erica is finding herself in a hole just like she did back in 2013 when fans and critics sounded off on the white dress that she wore for her album cover. Two years later, the dress is still haunting Campbell. In fact, in the new episode of Centric's show, BEING, Erica took a trip down memory lane to talk about the controversial outfit.

"When I took the picture I was like, 'that's special."' Erica recalls. "God put me in the skin that I'm in and so I own it fully. As long as no matter what I put on me, you can see what's shining through me, and it shouldn't matter."

Erica continued with her defense, saying, "I sent the picture to my husband, I sent the picture to my mom and my sisters. I have curves, I'm a curvaceous woman, there's no sin in that."

It looks like Erica's new song will be trending for a while too: both for the good and the bad.
