'Piece of Burger' Star Apologizes for Warrant: Courtney Barnes Says "Everybody Makes Mistakes"

After learning that their is a warrant out for the "Piece of Burger" green-hair and nails man that became a viral sensation over night from his interview with WLBT, MStars News has learned that Courtney Barnes is apologizing for his actions.

 "A Piece of Burger" viral video star accused of crimes in Jackson, Ridgeland (from Fox8Live.com) JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - The man, who just yesterday became the Internet's newest viral star, is wanted for shoplifting and has a warrant out for his arrest. Ridgeland police say Courtney Barnes has just over $1600 worth of fines, mainly traffic violations. We're told he will also have to deal with a contempt of court charge for letting the fines stack up. Ridgeland police say that they would like for Barnes to come in and pay the fines as soon as possible. He is also accused of stealing merchandise from Swell-O-Phonic in Fondren. We spoke with a manager who says that Barnes stole a Van's bucket hat just over a month ago. She also says he has been known for shoplifting in the area. The manager tells us that they have filed a police report. On Monday, Barnes was on his way to get "a piece of… um, burger from Burger King" when he claims to have witnessed a crash involving a police officer. His excited account of the accident went viral Wednesday almost as soon as it was published to our Facebook page.

"I want to apologize for the things going around on social media about me," Barnes said. "However like I said nobody's perfect, everybody makes mistakes, but in the meantime I do keep God first and I want you guys to know that everything will work out for the better. " He continued with, "At the same time let the negativity continue to come, because without negativity we cannot do positivity."

MStars News previously reported that Barnes was wanted in Ridgeland and Jackson, Mississippi. Apparently Barnes is a known to be an alleged thief and he owes over $1600 in traffic tickets. In the video that went viral and even caught the attention of Burger King, Barnes described a scene where an accident took place involving a police chase as "a horrible tragedy."

He said, "they began to race around each other like cats and dogs. His car spent out of control...girl he hit the pole his head went to one side his body went to the other side this is the results. I was actually going to buy me a piece of burger, from Burger King. He twist around like a tornado, girl....we don't know if the police is going to make it or if he's going to tap out."
