USA Network will premiere their upcoming hacker drama. Before the show's June premiere, this is the perfect opportunity to check out why Mr. Robot, starring Christian Slater (Pump Up The Volume), Portia Doubleday (Mr. Sunshine) and Rami Malek (The Pacific) is must-see TV.

In the plot synopsis, Mr. Robot centers on a young and isolated programmer named Elliot (Malek). Suffering from an anti-social disorder, Elliot can only connect to people by actually hacking them. Elliot is then recruited to join an underground hacker organization determined to bring down corporate America by a mysterious anarchist named Mr. Robot (Slater).

We have 5 reasons why we loved watching Mr. Robot and why you will too here:

5) The Leading Man

The Night of the Museum actor first caught our attention in the intense war drama, The Pacific, and when we say the word, "intense," we mean exactly that. The Pacific broke down the myth of World War II, the "good war," and Malek painted a vivid picture of a solider caught in morally grey territory. Malek gives it his all in his portrayal of Elliot and as viewers, you will become drawn to his magnetic performance.

4) The Rebel Antihero

Christian Slater has an energy and style about him that audiences have seen in Heathers, True Romance, and Broken Arrow. After watching Malek's performance in the cold opening, you're just anxious to see Elliot and Mr. Robot (Slater) meet. And when you watch the chemistry between Malek and Slater develop, the show just gets even better.

3) The Breakout Star

We previously mentioned, Angela (Doubleday) and Elliot (Malek) are childhood friends, who now work together at a corporate cyber security firm. Ambitious and determined to get ahead, Angela is unaware that her best friend is secretly trying to destroy everything she stands for. Doubleday has shown range in comedy (Mr. Sunshine) and as a scream queen (Carrie). If you're haven't heard of Portia Doubleday before, you will now because of this show.

2) The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Who better to direct a show about hackers than the director of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the original Swedish film based on Stieg Larsson's bestselling novel. Notice how Niels Arden Oplev doesn't do the Beautiful Mind thing and zoom the camera in for a CGI gimmick. In a suspenseful sequence, Opley focuses on the code in an extreme close-up and lets Malek react with his own facial expression. The moving camerawork gives the screen a cinematic scope and beautifully captures the gritty atmosphere of its New York setting.

1) A Visual Novel At Its Best

Creator/showrunner Sam Esmail has written a well-crafted suspenseful tale that boasts electrifying performances, dark humor, and thought-provoking social commentary. The techno dialogue is easy to follow and you're never lost when the characters speak in their own cyber vernacular. If this is what Esmail has planned for the pilot, I can't wait for the rest of the 10 episode arc!

Still don't believe us, then watch the pilot online for free here. Then watch the premiere of Mr. Robot Wednesday, June 24 at 10pm on USA.

Readers, are you excited to see Mr. Robot?
