Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson: Twilight Star Apologizes for Making Fans 'So Angry' with Cheating Scandal, Won't Change Who She Is

"Twilight" starlet Kristen Stewart is still getting heat for scandalously cheating on longtime boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her (much older and married) "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders over the summer, and K-Stew wants her fans to know that she's really, really sorry for making everyone so angry. While Stewart insists that she is deeply regretful for what she did and the hurt she caused, she is not sorry for being the type of person whom she is. Fans may have different understandings of what exactly Stewart's "type of person" is, but whatever it is seems to be working for the 22-year-old actress in the long-run - her and R-Patz are officially back together and attempting to rekindle their off-screen romance. And apparently the couple is already stronger than ever.

Stewart, whom Forbes considers the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, is still utterly remorseful about her inappropriate behavior this past summer, which resulted in a short-lived separation from Pattinson. But despite all of the drama and backlash, K-Stew seems to be a stronger young woman and individual because of it. In a recent interview with Newsweek (to promote her new film "On the Road"), Stewart states:

"It's not a terrible thing if you're either loved or hated," Stewart tells Newsweek. "But honestly, I don't care 'cause it doesn't keep me from doing my s##t. And I apologize to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention."

Immediately following the cheating scandal, Stewart tried to save some face by going into hiding. But that didn't last long, and the "Panic Room" starlet realized that she'd have to face reality and work through her issues with Pattinson (and angry fans/the media):

"It's a little annoying having to be so compartmentalized," she continues to tell Newsweek. "I go from box to box to box. Like right now, this is so crazy 'cause we're out at a restaurant. But I'm going out a lot more now. I was starting to get closed off and self-conscious, and I'm trudging forth into the world more often."

Do Mstarz fans think K-Stew and R-Patz still make a good couple, despite Stewart's recent unfaithfulness? The duo supposedly spent the Thanksgiving holiday together with family, and it looks like they'll do the same for Christmas and the New Year. Despite recent marriage rumors floating around, it doesn't look like the couple is about to tie the knot anytime soon.

"Open Road" hits theaters this Friday, Dec. 21.
