Hip Hop Singer T.I. (Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr.) opened up about the tragic shooting incident that killed 26 adults including 20 first graders.

"It was tragic. You cannot be a human being with a heart that pumps blood and not feel somethin' about that," said T.I. who was speaking on MTV's RapFix Live, Dec. 19.

T.I. had a tough childhood, he spent his time in the streets as a hustler. In 2007, he was arrested on federal weapons charges and spent time in jail.

T.I. believes that children should be kept away from harm, "I just feel like children are off-limits because they perfect, they ain't done nothin', they ain't did nothin' and to cut the lives off of so many young future- [they] could've been future anything,"  said T.I. "Their opportunity was cut short, behind just some cowardness. I think that needs to be addressed in a major way," MTV News reported.

T.I. warns of stereotyping criminals, "I just really believe you can't judge a book by its cover and right now you may have a stereotype in your mind of what danger looks like. But to be honest with you, in recent history, the look of danger has changed,"

T.I. who has a previous history of gun possession and was even arrested and sent to jail said, "This is my problem with the banning of anything. What that does is, that means only the criminals will be allowed to have this particular item. Right now, there's criminals that can't have assault rifles or pistols but they got them and they know they can't have them. So if they ban them, what it's gonna be double-illegal for me now? I'm still gon' carry mine. So if the illegals have them, I think the legals must have them," HipHopDX reported.

The rapper released his new album, "Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head," Dec. 18. This is his eight album.
