On Friday, December 14 at approximately 9:40 a.m., 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot his way into the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut - ultimately killing 20 young students (ages 6-7) and six faculty members. Before the tragic and devastating massacre occurred, the small, close-knit community of Newtown perceived Lanza as a rather quiet, awkward, and intelligent teenager who lived at home with his mother, Nancy Lanza (Adam's first victim). According to the gunman's former barber Bob Skuba, cutting Adam's hair was a rather uncomfortable task. Skuba and his fellow salon employees recently spoke to the AP, providing revealing details into the strained mother-son relationship between Nancy and Adam Lanza. Skuba hates to admit it aloud, but he wishes that he had killed Adam Lanza when he had the chance - before the disturbed young man tragically took the lives of 27 innocent victims.

Skuba tells the AP that Adam and his mother stopped coming to his local Newtown barber shop a few years ago, but he can still vividly remember his former client as an awkward, quiet boy who only spoke when Nancy told him to.

Skuba explains that cutting Adam's hair "was a very long half an hour. It was a very uncomfortable situation... [he would only speak] when his mother told him to."

Skuba continues with:

"I would say, 'Adam, come on.' He wouldn't move. And his mother would have to say, 'Adam, come on, he's ready.' It was like I was invisible... He would just be looking down at the tiles... the whole time."

Skuba claims that Adam wouldn't move from the barber chair, even after his haircut was done. He would only do what Nancy told him to... if a stylist asked Adam a question, his mother would have to answer.

Only a few photos of Adam Lanza are available on the web, and they all portray the young man with a bowl-cut hairstlye, puckered smile, dark eyes, and unemotional facial expression.

"It's just weird that I actually touched him," Skuba admits. "That's the worst part about it ... he was in one of our chairs. I'd try to joke with him. He wouldn't even look at me."

Skuba confesses to harboring a terrible thought, a disturbing thought which many people throughout the nation, even the world, probably also share - he wished he would have killed Adam when he had the chance.

"I wish I would've killed him then. Or he should have killed himself a long time ago.... He would have saved us all the trouble. He should've run in front of a bus, or some other type of terrible death he should've done to himself... It would've saved all those kids and parents the trouble. I should've slipped and stabbed him by accident. It would've been a lot better for those people."

Reports confirm that a motive for Adam's tragic, violent outburst still remains unknown - and there may never be one. Many believe that no excuse will ever forgive Adam's horrific actions... it won't bring back the lives of the lost innocent children and their heroic teachers. Some allege that Adam's disturbing actions may have been triggered by a recent argument with his mother, considering Nancy was thinking about institutionalizing her son in a psychiatric facility (according to close family friend, Joshua Flashman). Lanza's parents had previously told friends and family that Adam had Asperger's Syndrome, a form of high-functioning autism (it remains unclear if he was ever officially diagnosed).

Skuba admits that he's not sure if he cut the hair of any of the slain children or teachers. He can't let himself even think about the idea - "I don't really want to talk about that" he said, holding back a tearful sigh.

Rest In Peace:
