Rapper Eminem's talents extend way beyond the hip-hop industry. Rumors now suggest that the infamous "Rap God" will write and produce new music for Joe Carnahan's upcoming drama series, "Narc."

According to Deadline, 42-year-old Shady will now work behind-the-scenes in television. The show will be based off of Carnahan's hit 2002 film by the same name. The popular Hollywood director already finished a pilot script, and will now executive produce several more episodes. And he wants "The Monster" superstar to release fresh tracks in promotion of the Paramont TV project. Things have already been rolling for a year now.

The original crime thriller (based in Em's hometown of Detroit) stars Ray Liotta and Jason Patric:

The plot revolves around the efforts of two police detectives in search of the murderer of an undercover police officer. As they investigate, they engage in unethical behavior and uncover dark secrets that will challenge their fragile relationship.

The supposed series will be based on the same story.

So, will the MMLP2 hypeman have any free time to release another record anytime soon?

Meanwhile, Shady remains mum on Instagram The "Berzerk" lyricist's latest post actually promotes upcoming his work in film! The sports drama "Southpaw" hits theaters later this summer, and features a new Shady song entitled "Phenomenal." Check it out below:

eminem: "#Phenomenal, from the #Southpaw soundtrack just dropped on @iTunes. Link in bio."
