In the hotly debated topic of who should play Anastasia Steele in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' hit erotica novel "Fifty Shades of Grey," many fans automatically think Alexis Bledel. But what about 22-year-old "Hunger Games" beauty Jennifer Lawrence, who was just named AskMen.com's "Most Desirable Woman" of 2013? Lawrence is an up-and-rising star who has really made a name for herself in Hollywood over the past few years... without limiting herself to a specific typecast. Not only does the stunning "Silver Linings Playbook" starlet have the Anastasia Steele look down - with the long/flowing brunette locks (sometimes blonde, but that can be fixed) piercing eyes, and girl-next-door appeal - but her innocent, likeable, and naturally attractive personality could fit the role perfectly. So what do "Fifty Shades" enthusiasts think about Lawrence's' name being added to the fan favorites casting poll?
Some fans find the thought of Lawrence playing Steele - the young, reserved college grad turned Christian Grey's sexy and kinky vixen - rather intriguing. Compared to top fan favorite Bledel (who's 31), Lawrence also fits the age-frame spot-on. Who wouldn't want to see the Academy and Golden Globe-nominated starlet let her inner freak-side out on the big screen?
While Lawrence has starred in a number of diverse, breakthrough roles in several hit films - including 2010's "Winter's Bone," 2011's "X-Men: First Class," and 2012's "Silver Linings Playbook" - her association with the popular role of Katniss Everdeen in 2012's "The Hunger Games" could ultimately keep her out of the Ana Steele running. Lawrence will reprise the reoccurring role of Everdeen - the independent and kick-butt survivalist of District 12 - in film adaptations of Suzanne Collins's popular trilogy "The Hunger Games." E.L. James and "Fifty Shades" producers (as well as fans) might be turned off by this fact, considering they want a fresh and non-associated actress to play the coveted role of Steele. Do Mstarz fans think Lawrence's link to "The Hunger Games" will hurt her chances of even being considered for "Fifty Shades of Grey?" (Same goes for Kristen Stewart, best-known for her onscreen portrayal of Bella in the "Twilight" series).
Even so, Lawrence was recently nominated AskMen's top "Most Desirable Women" of 2013 out of 99 other popular starlets (including Emma Stone, Mila Kunis, and Rihanna). According to according to AskMen's editor-in-chief James Bassil, "Overall, there's a sense that she's a little more authentic than other actors" this time around." Hmm... does this give her Anastasia Steele potential? Fans decide!
