Comedian and Rapper, Katt Williams was detained by police at a Subway restaurant in West Hollywood, Dec. 20, TMZ reported.

Williams was suspected to be causing disturbance at the restaurant, but the rapper denies the charges.

Williams was waiting for Suge Knight, his tour manager and friend, who was getting a manicure at a nail salon nearby. William was handcuffed and placed in the back of a squad car by the police who arrived in response to a call about disturbance caused by Williams.

The comedian was eventually released from custody. TMZ reports that the cops took away his gun and marijuana he was carrying. But they gave back all the items after he said it was medicinal marijuana that he was carrying and showed the permit for the gun.

The cops deny he was carrying a gun and said they only found magazine for a .45 caliber gun. Williams even claimed that the whole incident was racially motivated. On Dec. 2, Williams slapped a Target employee accusing him of using the N-word.

Williams received a citation from the police saying that he had parked too close to a fire hydrant and Suge too got a ticket for multiple outstanding traffic warrants.

After their release from custody, a subway employee brought them sandwiches. The employee claims not to have seen any sort of disturbance on the scene.

The comedian was last arrested in Dec. 6, on a felony warrant that was related to a police chase.

Williams is no stranger to arrests and lawsuits. He has spent time in jail and has been accused of burglary charges. He has also been arrested for assaults many times.
