USA's 'Complications' Recap: Episode 2: 'Infection:' Jason O'Mara, Jessica Szohr, Chris Chalk Meet!

After months and months of teasers and previews, Complications arrives on USA Network continues its season premiere. From Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, In episode 2, will John Ellison (Jason O'Mara) and Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr) be able to stop the Infection?

After coming home and sleeping with his wife, John hears someone breaking into the house. He takes out the gun from medical bag and points it at the gang member. The gang members tells John he has to make sure the boy is taken care of.The group leave this house after dropping off his cell.

One year ago, John is driving his sick daughter, Becky, to chemotherapy. He promises the treatment will help her get better. He carries Rebecca in his arms as the whole family walks into the hospital. 

Back to the present, John tries to comfort his frightened son. He calls Gretchen and asks about Antwon, the boy. He takes Gretchen's advice and lies to the police about what happened. 

Gretchen goes back to work and finds the abusive boyfriend arguing with another doctor. She undresses in front of her superior, wondering what happened the night of the fight. Though she made things awkward, Gretchen knows she will get caught.

At home, Samantha starts to panic as she keeps asking questions about the break-in. John meets with Gretchen and gets the papers for Antwon. They both have problems to deal with. 

Gretchen talks with the abused girlfriend and tells her to lie. At first, the patient refuses and forces Gretchen to leave. After signing in with a fake name, John visits the hospital room and finds the bed empty. 

Suffering a panic attack, John remembers the news of his daughter's treatment failing. He breaks down and begs God to help him at this point. 

While Samantha contacts Kyle Hawkins and gets coffee with him, Gretchen asks an employee to change the attendance records, but the file was already taken away. Gretchen gets into a confrontation with the abusive boyfriend and barely escapes. 

John grabs the cell, makes a call, and reveals he lost the kid. With a mysterious stranger coming, John attempts to find the child. Samantha asks Kyle about witness protection, but he wants to restart their affair.

The abused girlfriend wants ten grand to continue Gretchen's lie. While getting a call from Gretchen, John meets with the gang leader (Chris Chalk), who threatens him with a gun. He finds out the Antwon tore his IV line and ran off. 

The abused patient confirms the lies and begs for Gretchen's help. John runs through the rooms, down the stairs, and spots blood. Antwon is lying on the floor bleeding. After returning back to his room, the gang leader tells Antwon his name is now Malcolm.

John tells the gang leader he wants out; we all want out. They will have to meet again the next morning. After meeting with Gretchen, John wonders what is his responsibility in all this. At the dinner table, Samantha says a prayer for her daughter. 

With her bloody hands, Gretchen makes a frantic call to John.
