Yes, it's true. While it's just another day for many, many people, there are actually folks who party during the solstice. IBT Times reports that people often get together to worship the sun and even party a bit. Places like Stonehenge and Times Square – two totally different places in our opinion – find themselves having people come to pay homage to the sun... in different ways.

People reportedly gather in New York City's very own Times Square area for a group yoga class. And there's even a live stream of it.

2. Solstice Means Something
Not literally "something" but it means something. And what that is, is "sun" and "staying." Per the report, it can also stand for sun standing still. Which perhaps is why it's the longest day of the year.

Summer Solstice reportedly occurs between June 20 and June 21 ever year. It happens whenever "the sun reaches its highest point in the sky," according to IBT.
