British heavy metal band, Black Sabbath's guitarist Tony Iommi has said that the band will tour as much as possible in 2013, NME reported.

Iommi posted on his website Iommi.com, "What a year! Certainly not the one I was expecting. Thanks to you all for your massive help and support, it was very encouraging. I'm still working on the album and managed to play three shows, not bad given the news a year ago. I'm looking forward to next year, seeing what you think of the record and touring as much as we're able."

"My Best Wishes to you all, I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year, most of all, stay positive," he added.

The band has revealed that they have been recording a new album, with six tracks in the recording stage. The final album will have 15 tracks. The album is expected to be released April, 2013.

Iommi has been the only constant person in the band that was formed in 1969 in Birmingham. The band has seen a lot of revolving of band members. The original members of the band, Tony Iommi (guitar) , Geezer Butler (bass guitar), Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocals) and Bill Ward (drums) have reunited several times in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2005.

The metal band  has greatly influenced a generation of heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Nirvana, Korn, Mayhem, Venom, Judas Priest, Guns N' Roses, Body Count, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Disturbed, Death, Opeth, Pantera, Megadeth, The Smashing Pumpkins, Slipknot, the Foo Fighters, Fear Factory, Candlemass, Godsmack, and Van Halen.
