Pop-country singer Taylor Swift, 23, has been named  the 'most charitable star of 2012,' according to DoSomething.org.

Swift is the youngest recipient of the Ripple of Hope Award for her charity work.

Swift had donated $4 million to Country Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville, May 17, to help set up an education center in her name.

"By stepping forward to fund our education center, she has once again demonstrated that she has an eye on our industry's future. ...It is not an overstatement to say that the Taylor Swift Education Center will have a profound impact on our museum, our new campus, our city and even our country. It will truly be the heart of our living museum, educating and inspiring young people and families, teaching them country music history and helping them to make meaningful connections between the music and their own lives," said Kyle Young, museum director, Los Angeles Times reported.

Singer Miley Cyrus scored a close second for her work supporting the Saving Spot! Rescue, a non-profit organisation that finds homes for dogs in animal shelters that are about to be executed. The list also includes Lady Gaga for her $1.2 million donation to her Born This Way Foundation and Justin Bieber for his Believe Charity Drive

The list of 'Celebs Gone Good' of 2012 includes Robin Roberts, Pink, LeBron James, Selena Gomez and Ian Somerhalder.

The DoSomething.org also said that the pop singer was named not only for the donation but also for "her tremendous work for young people battling cancer among many others." DoSomething is an organisation that unites young people to bring in social change.
