Now that the epic "Twilight" film saga is officially over, costars-turned-lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are looking for new work... and rumors have it that the duo hopes to star on the big-screen together yet again, this time in a movie focused on cheating (as Liz & Dick in the hit film "The Sandpiper"). As most fans already know, K-Stew was involved in a highly-publicized love affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders over the summer, resulting in a brokenhearted R-Patz ultimately dumping her. The couple eventually worked things out and are now focused on rekindling their tattered relationship... so do fans thing that starring together in a film that revolves around cheating is such a great idea?
22-year-old Stewart and 26-year-old Pattinson are currently one of the most followed and sought-after couples in Hollywood... some critics even compare them to the late Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton (read on to see why that would make more sense...). It would really come as no surprise to see the duo star together in yet another blockbuster considering how successful the four "Twilight" films were.
The popular gossip tabloid Hollywood Life reports that R-Patz and K-Stew have since been approached to star in a remake of director Vincente Minnelli's classic 1965 Liz & Dick film "The Sandpiper." The film (starring Taylor and Burton, of course) focuses on a married school teacher master that has an affair with a single mother. The plot hits a little close to home for Stewart and Pattinson... just switch the scenario around (with Sanders being a married man with kids).
The couple may enjoy transferring their real-life chemistry to the big-screen, but does R-Patz simply wish to star in movies with his off-screen sweetheart in order to keep a closer eye on her? Maybe Patterson still has trouble trusting Stewart ever since her hurtful infidelity... a close pal of the British actor recently said, "[Rob] recognizes there's a certain screen magic when he and Kristen are together. Besides, there's less chance she'll get in trouble again."
What do Mstarz readers think? Is starring in yet another film together a good idea for Stewart and Pattinson, especially a movie that centers on cheating? Fans decide!
