Gamers should get ready for South Park: The Fractured but Whole, the follow-up to South Park: The Stick of Truth. After making their 2015 E3 announcement, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker tease just a bit about the gameplay for their upcoming videogame.

According to IGN,  the plot synopsis follows the player starring as a New Kid. This is an entirely New Kid, and not the same as the one you played in Stick of Truth. Stone and Parker are heavily involved again, making sure the game stays true to its South Park roots. The upcoming game is not being made by Obsidian, the developer who did the last one. This version is being handled by a Ubisoft studio.

The Ubisoft YouTube Channel states, players will dive into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends. Eric Cartman will reprise his superhero alter-ego, The Coon, who happens to be half man, half raccoon. Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch join the battle against the forces of evil.

In an interview with Huffington Post, the South Park creators discussed coming back with a new videogame after the success of Stick of Truth.

Trey Parker reveals, "We said we'd never make a video game unless we really did it hands-on. We're both gamers, we both grew up as gamers and we both respect gaming as an art form, just like musical theatre so to us it wasn't just 'oh go and do something like that'. Once we'd finished Book of Mormon, Stick of Truth really was our other big project, and right now it's this.

Matt Stone adds, "It's a pretty narrative intense game, that's just what it is so it had to come from us. I think this time we did a better job at working with people who really know video games."
