Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Celebrate the New Year on Romantic Mexico Vacation: 'Boyfriend' Singer Flaunts New Tattoo [PHOTOS]

Despite rumors that pop megastar Justin Bieber and his on-and-off again girlfriend Selena Gomez have officially split (for good), the duo recently jetted off to the luxurious Punta Mita Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to enjoy a romantic and relaxing New Year's getaway. While the couple was spotted soaking in some rays poolside, the Biebs also took the time to Instagram a photo of his newest enhanced tattoo (as well as several other shirtless pics that are sure to drive Beliebers completely wild). Apparently 20-year-old Gomez is angry that Bieber has been spending so much time with Victoria's Secret bombshell Barbara Palvin (and her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas), but that didn't stop the "Spring Breakers" starlet from hitting up an exclusive Mexico resort with her "Boyfriend" beau to ring in 2013. The duo arrived in Puerto Vallarta on Saturday (Dec. 29), and rumors have it that they plan on spending New Year's Eve night out on the moonlit beach. Both Bieber and Gomez stopped to pose with a female fan at the airport promptly after arriving in Mexico:

While it looks like the young Hollywood couple is trying hard to work on their struggling relationship, one Life & Style inside source insists that such boyfriend drama is negatively affecting the former Disney star, both mentally and physically -"Her up-and-down relationship with Justin Bieber is taking a toll and she [looks] thinner than ever. She isn't eating because she has so much anxiety about Justin being faithful and doing right by her... Selena's freaking out. She's stressed about the fact that [Justin's] added more tour dates and they'll be apart for longer. She doesn't trust him. Justin is on tour again and isn't living up to his promises to Selena... Selena hates how braggy Barbara is about it all, wearing his shirts, tweeting from his locations, and following him all around."

But the Biebs himself seems to be doing just fine. Not only did the "As Long as You Love Me" crooner share a number of intimate (and abs-tastic) poolside pics with fans on Instagram, he also posted a photo of his "Newtat" -

The 18-year-old singer already has several tattoos, but this new ink is an enhancement of the Jesus/"praying hands" image already sketched on his leg. Now the elaborate tattoo on Bieber's calf includes an array of flowers shaded underneath the praying hands.
