While landing on the Vogue Magazine cover, supermodel Cara Delevingne opened up about dating St. Vincent in the inside pages. Because of the Paper Towns actress' major public statement about her relationship with the indie singer, their hookup has been brewing controversy.

As we previously mentioned, the Pan actress joins Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (The Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Tom Hardy (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) for writer/director David Ayer (End of Watch)'s upcoming comic book movie. Based on the popular DC Comics title, the brunette beauty will become the super villain known as Enchantress.

Landing on the front cover of Vogue, the Suicide Squad actress discusses her relationship with multi-instrumentalist Annie Clark, "I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle."

On her official Instagram account, the 22-year-old supermodel writes, "My July @voguemagazine cover is out on the 23rd of June. Read the interview by clicking on my bio. Photos by Patrick Demarchelier styling by @tonnegood"

According to The Daily News, more than 12,500 people have signed a petition on Care2.org . The petition is addressed to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour for not failing to take the opportunity "to combat negative stereotypes, not reinforce them."

Launching the petition, Julie Rodriguez wrote in a statement, "People are quick to assume queer women's identities are a 'phase' and to refuse to recognize the important relationships in their lives -- an attitude which can cause depression, result in families rejecting their daughters (or forcing them into abusive conversion "therapy"), and even put young women at risk of suicide."

Buzzfeed has a slideshow of the romantic duo walking out in the streets, enjoying themselves. You can visibly see smiles on their fresh smiles. While the two are holding hands together, the pari have been having Twitter exchanges back and forth.

On their social media sites, St. Vincent even retweeted Delevinge's tweet stating, "I am very much in love."

Readers, what do you think of the backlash towards Cara Delevingne's sexuality?
