According to rapper Iggy Azalea, "Pretty Girls" had the potential to be a major summer hit. Well, maybe if Britney Spears put in a little more effort...

On Sunday (June 28), the "Fancy" superstar responded to this viral fan comment on Twitter:

@rhuancesarr: "@IGGYAZALEA even if PG flopped a little bit still getting a lot of views on YT and it's the summer anthem of 2015, so whatever we love you."

@IGGYAZALEA: "@rhuancesarr its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately im just featured..."

@IGGYAZALEA: "@rhuancesarr i would have enjoyed performing it alot, i think it got off to a powerful start. but you need content to compete in 2015."

Several listeners loved Azalea's new collaboration with the "Toxic" songstress, but "Pretty Girls" never made a splash on the Billboard charts. But is Spears really to blame?

Rumors quickly began circulating online that Nick Young's fiancee totally threw the 33-year-old pop sensation under the bus. But that's simply untrue:

@ThePopZone: "Iggy talks about Pretty Girls flopping, shades Britney/her team..."

@IGGYAZALEA: "@ThePopZone my comment is factual, it applies to any song. I dont have to suck the womans a$$hole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls."

Woah - don't tick the "Black Widow" rebel off!

Are MstarsNews readers still surprised that "Pretty Girls" isn't a bigger hit - and is Spears truly at fault for such failure?

The "Work B*tch" beauty has yet to respond to Azalea's remarks.

Back in May, Spears accidentally deemed Azalea "garbage" on Instagram. So maybe this is some sort of bitter revenge?

The Australian singer later ignored such unnecessary cyber drama, and hyped the BET Awards, instead:

@IGGYAZALEA: "Im 100% here for this Bad Boy reunion. Come thru @LilKim !!!"
