Gunn this week spoke about his highly anticipated new movie, revealing to Collider that he's very excited to start production on his drafted script.

"It's going to be exciting. I think it's a more emotional movie," Gunn told the publication. "I think it's both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters. We get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie, and I think we focus a lot on that."

Gunn also answered a ton of fan questions on Facebook, revealing that Star-Lord's father will be involved in the new movie and that his new script could be funnier than the first!

"[T]he new script is actually funnier than the first script, or at least seems to be from the reactions," the director said on social media, according to Slash Film. "I don't have to introduce a bunch of new characters so it gives way more room for development - emotional stuff and humorous stuff. It's very freeing."
