USA's goalkeeper Hope Solo was asked about the German threat this week, so she told the press exactly what she thinks.

"I could talk all day about Germany's strengths that they bring but ultimately it is about how we play. If we play our game it doesn't matter who we play, in the end we will come out on top," Solo said, continuing on about her team's performance so far. "It's not good enough yet. We still have two more games and it doesn't matter what we've done to this point. What matters is what we do against Germany and then hopefully on to the final."

Meanwhile, Germany is also focused on the task ahead, according to top player Alexandra Popp.

"We cannot wait [for] the game we are prepared and we hope that the long day going around quickly," Popp said. "We know that we have to be focused 100 percent, because now it really is about the sausage."
