Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Fight Over Christmas, Spend Romantic New Year's on Isle of Wight, Looking to Buy NYC Home Together?

Despite rumors that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got into a little tiff over the Christmas holiday, it looks like the "Twilight" lovebirds officially made up during a romantic New Year's getaway to the quaint U.K. Isle of Wight. The couple appears to be going strong, and recent reports confirm that the Hollywood duo even plans on buying a home together in NYC! Are wedding bells in the foreseeable future?

Following a rather awkward Thanksgiving spent with R-Patz' family, Hollywood Life reports that K-Stew wanted her mom to join her in London for the Christmas holiday to maybe help "lighten" the mood (several members of Pattinson's family still don't approve of Stewart following her highly-publicized infidelity with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders over the summer). Stewart supposedly made the decision to invite her mom to the U.K. last-minute, upsetting Pattinson and prompting a fight. In the end, the couple ultimately spent the festive holiday apart - R-Patz jetted off to London solo and Stewart stayed behind to celebrate Xmas with family in L.A. According to an inside source at Life & Style, "Kristen was all set to go to London with Rob for Christmas, but they got into a huge fight and he told her that she should stay in L.A.... At the last minute, Kristen wanted her mom to go, too, but this trip was meant to be about Kristen spending more time with the Pattinsons... Bringing her mom was not the plan, and Rob was annoyed."

Apparently R-Patz is trying to prove to his fam that Stewart truly is "the one." Pattinson's sisters Lizzy and Victoria supposedly hate how the 22-year-old starlet has treated him, and thinks he deserves to be with someone better than a "cheat."

Even with his family's disapproval, it looks like the duo is back on good terms. K-Stew flew off to London a few days before the New Year and she was spotted cozying up on the subway with her "Twilight" sweetheart. The couple then rang in 2013 together on a private, romantic Isle of Wight getaway.

And now it looks like the two are apartment hunting in New York City... for a home to buy together. Apparently things are indeed getting pretty serious! According to an inside source for the popular gossip site Hollywood Life, "Both Rob and Kristen love NYC and want to get a place of their own there. They will start looking in the New Year. They are both going to be super busy filming, especially Rob, but this is something they have been wanting to do but just haven't found the time... They are excited to have some roots in the city, most likely in the downtown area, like the East or West Village."

The couple returned from England after the New Year, and Pattinson is currently filming a movie in Manhattan... so purchasing a NYC home sometime in the near-future wouldn't be such a big surprise (especially considering Stewart believes the paparazzi is far less "intrusive" in New York than in L.A.).
