Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck Call Quits After 10 Years of Marriage

How sad is this news? MStars News has learned that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are reportedly calling it quits after being married for 10 years. According to Hollywood Life, the are divorcing after month of speculation.

The entertainment site says that Garner and Affleck announced that they were splitting in a statement on June 30.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

The couple have three kids together, and will act as co-parents. Some would've thought this was a match made in heaven, and that these two would give fans hope that love rules, but it was too good to be true. MStars News previously reported that there were rumors of a pending divorce in the future, but no one expected for it to be true.

Hollywood Life claims that the Afflecks told New York Daily News that they have been living in different households for years. "Things were definitely a lot more upbeat and optimistic [in the past]," the insider revealed. "Now there's friction and tension between them. They're like two ships passing in the night."

Ok! Magazine also reported that the two lovebirds were in trouble in the past. The site claimed that Ben and Jennifer were already separated and were just waiting on the right time to announce that they wanted to get a divorce.

The once power couple began dating back in 2004. They met while filming the 2001 hit film Pearl Harbor and also starred together in films like 2003's Daredevil.

Ben allegedly popped the question to Jen on her 33rd birthday, and the two later married in a private ceremony on June 29, 2005. It kind of sucks that they decided to reveal that they were divorcing a day after their wedding anniversary that was probably not so happy.

The actors have three children together: two daughters, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and one son, Samuel.
